we spent the weekend of february 19th in san diego, fighting the winds and rains. mags and i were preoccupied with scholarship activities and meeting our future advisers/teachers while julie and sarah took to the streets, looking for treasures and inspiration for the shop. i was able to sneak away for an afternoon with s and j, and luckily i brought my camera along. i had a new filter which was gifted by ryan, which i used for the above picture.. i took it off and started messing around with personalized settings on my camera.. in which i was able to take the below picture of julie in the shop :

all in all, i am still searching for distinctive styles and ways to achieve them. :)
hey, it’s been a while…
about two months ago, some of the jakes and kalamas ventured out to desert shores to mess around with cameras. near dusk, after being deserted by the rest of our group, liz kalama and i photographed the couple which brought our families together. it was the first in a long time i freed up time to hold a camera of any sort in my hand, and i am so thankful for it; it was an afternoon well spent.
